Sail into the New Year at the Town of Palm Beach Marina

Welcome, 2023! A new year signifies the end of a chapter, new beginnings and endless possibilities. Whether you want to learn a new skill or language, become more successful, or reserve a slip at our Town of Palm Beach Marina's world-class facility, there’s never a better time to start.

What is your new year's resolution? Ours is to continue providing excellent service and build upon our current occupancy list. Read our exclusive interview with Mike Horn, Town of Palm Beach Marina Manager, for more insight on what’s to come for the Marina’s second year – what’s up dock?

Q: What are the goals for the second year of the Marina and beyond?
We are looking forward to building our occupancy with long-term leases, and bringing in more transient reservations when our leaseholders are out traveling. We are hoping for more boaters to experience the Town of Palm Beach Marina.

Q: Why do you think 2023 will be different for the Town of Palm Beach Marina?
There’s a lot more excitement as people hear more about our services, boat accommodations and amenities. We have already seen more people express interest in visiting Palm Beach and docking at the Marina.

Q: How do you envision the Marina maintaining itself, not only on a competitive level but as a unique destination?
I want to make sure this Marina looks the same as it did 10 years from now. If there are any issues, we are not just waiting for things to get fixed. This is not your typical municipal marina. We generate a lot of revenue and our slip holders pay top dollar to be here. I want to make sure it looks just like a private club and we want to treat it as such.

Q: What are the goals for the Marina staff going into the new year?

We aim to provide the same kind of white-glove service, and continue to pay attention to the details – booking, support, and safety – for everyone, so that using the Marina remains a terrific experience.

Q: How do you feel about running this recently renovated state-of-the-art facility?
Running the Town of Palm Beach Marina is one of the greatest feelings on the face of the earth – every day I wake up and look forward to being here. There’s nothing better than coming here and dealing with the leaseholders, the captains, and the crews, and making sure they’re all happy with services and the staff.

Q: What are the perks of reserving a slip at the Marina next year?
The perk of reserving a slip at the Town Marina is the whole experience of being in the coveted location of Palm Beach. Our slip holders have limited complimentary access to golf, tennis, and recreation centers on the island. We are five minutes away from the Palm Beach International airport, right across the bridge from downtown and a five-minute walk to the beach. Plus, you get all the amenities at the facility such as Wi-Fi, shore power, dock assistance, and the full attention of the marina staff.

Q: What is your favorite thing about the Town of Palm Beach Marina?
A: The entire place is amazing. This marina will be the talk of the marine industry for the next 10 to 15 years. Until someone can find a place as nice as Palm Beach and then build a super yacht marina. This is the place to keep your yacht. I also love the concrete floating docks; these make all the difference in the marina world.

From everyone at the Town of Palm Beach Marina, we wish you a Happy New Year filled with laughter, hope, and health. Hope to see you down by the docks! For slip reservations or dockage information, visit our website www.townofpalmbeachmarina.com.
